The promise of i-consult is that the structured history is just *there* in i-scribe before you walk in. When it isn't, the cause is almost always one of three things: the patient hasn't finished, the episode isn't **Completed** yet, or your EMR integration isn't connected. Work through them in order. ```callout kind="info" For how the seam is meant to work (episodes created automatically, patient completes the questionnaire, history appears in the i-scribe transcript box), see [How i-consult fits your day](/i-consult/how-i-consult-fits-your-day). ``` ## 1. Has the patient actually finished? The history only generates once the patient completes the questionnaire. A started-but-unfinished questionnaire produces nothing in i-scribe. ```steps 1. Open the **Dashboard** and find the patient's episode. 2. Check the **Status** column. If it shows **Pending**, the patient hasn't finished yet. 3. Open the episode and check the status stepper. **Chat Started** without **Chat Completed** means they're mid-questionnaire; **History Generated** means the history exists. 4. If they haven't finished, there's nothing to show yet. You can resend the link to prompt them (see [Resending a questionnaire link](/i-consult/resending-a-questionnaire-link)). ``` ```callout kind="info" If the patient chose not to do the questionnaire, the episode shows **Declined**. That's expected, and you'll take the history during the consult as usual. See [What the episode statuses mean](/i-consult/what-episode-statuses-mean). ``` ## 2. Is the episode Completed? The history flows to i-scribe once the episode reaches **Completed** (status stepper: **History Generated**). ```steps 1. On the **Dashboard**, confirm the episode **Status** is **Completed**. 2. If it's **Under Review**, a response was flagged for a clinician to check before it's treated as complete, so review the episode. See [What the episode statuses mean](/i-consult/what-episode-statuses-mean). 3. Once the episode is **Completed**, the structured history is generated and ready to flow through to i-scribe. ``` ## 3. Is your EMR integration connected? The history reaches i-scribe through your EMR connection. If the integration isn't connected, the seam can't complete. ```steps 1. Go to **Settings → Integrations**. 2. Check your EMR card: **Gentu**, **Genie**, or **Browser Extension - {source}**. 3. Open **Details →** and confirm the integration is connected and configured. 4. If it's not connected, reconnect it, then check the episode again. ``` ```callout kind="info" If you sync appointments from a web-based EMR via the Akuru browser extension and nothing is flowing, the cause may be the extension rather than i-consult. See [The browser-extension sync isn't working](/i-consult/sync-isnt-working). ``` ## Still not showing? If the episode is **Completed**, the patient finished, and your EMR integration is connected, but the history still isn't in i-scribe: - Refresh i-scribe and re-check the patient. - Confirm you're looking at the right patient in i-scribe. - If it still doesn't appear, contact Akuru support with the patient's name and appointment date so we can trace the episode.
