### **ED Medical Note**

The ED medical note is designed to fit right in with standard ED documentation practices. You can use it however works best for you:

1. **Conversation Mode**:

    -   Create your note based on a transcript from your conversation with the patient.

2. **Manual Entry**:

    -   If you prefer typing, you can enter brief phrases (including in medical notation) into the transcript box. i-scribe will polish the output.

### **ED Patient Letter**

The ED patient letter is a short and simple summary for the patient. It highlights what they came in for and what’s next in their care.

- **Purpose**:
    -   Gives the patient a brief summary of their ED visit.
    -   Covers any changes or additions to their medication.
    -   Lays out the follow-up plan after discharge.
- **How to Create It**:

    1. **From Conversation Mode Transcript**:

        -   If you’ve transcribed your consult with the patient, i-scribe can turn it into a Patient Letter for you.

    1. **From Medical Handover style dictation**:
