## The documents generated by i-scribe are kept according to your Data Retention settings. This is set to 14 days by default, and can be extended up to 60 days by following the instructions below.

**Important Note:** Once deleted,**documents****cannot be recovered.** This is to maintain the highest standard of patient data management. 

To adjust your Data Retention settings (refer to the image below):

1.  Click**Settings** (red arrow #1 below)
2.  Adjust the**Data Retention slider** (red arrow #2 below)
3.  Click**Save Changes** (red arrow #3 below)
